ACCELERATED MULTISPORT PATHWAY
PX3 AMP is dedicated to building a stronger and
safer future for youth hockey in Canada.
We specialize in youth development hockey programs for boys, girls, and sledge hockey players based on multisport training, small area games, and long-term development principals.
OUR 5 CORE BELIEFS
1. WE BELIEVE IN BRAIN SAFETY
WE BELIEVE THAT OVER 75% OF SPORTS INJURIES ARE PREVENTABLE AND DIRECTLY RELATED TO FATIGUE, SKILLS, INEXPERIENCED COACHES AND REFEREES.
2. WE BELIEVE IN PROFESSIONAL COACHES
WE BELIEVE THAT YOUNG CHILDREN IN THEIR HIGHEST AND MOST IMPORTANT DEVELOPMENT STAGES NEED THE MOST EXPERIENCED AND DEDICATED COACHES. KNOWING WHAT TO COACH, HOW TO DEMONSTRATE, AND WHEN TO COACH A CHILD IS INVALUABLE.
3. WE BELIEVE THAT SIZE MATTERS
WE BELIEVE THAT LESS IS MORE - WITH LESS PLAYERS PER TEAM (9 INSTEAD OF 15 OR 18), AND OUR CROSS-ICE 3VS3 PLAYING FORMAT, KIDS ARE ABLE TO GET CREATIVE, BE SAFE, DO SIGNIFICANTLY MORE REPS AND GAIN SIGNIFICANTLY MORE EXPERIENCE WITH MORE TIME TO REST, RECOVER, AND RETAIN THE NEW SKILLS LEARNED.
4. WE BELIEVE IN MULTISPORT DEVELOPMENT
STUDIES ARE CLEAR, SINGLE SPORT ATHLETES GET HURT UP TO 70% MORE THAN MULTISPORT ATHLETES. WE WERE NOT DESIGNED AS HUMANS TO SKATE ON ICE, OVER USE OF THESE MUSCLES LEADS TO PERMANENT INJURY.
5. WE BELIEVE IN FAMILY TIME
WE HAVE SET SCHEDULES, SET DAYS, SET TIMES, WITH NO VOLUNTEERING, NO FUND-RAISING AND ALL AT ONE SINGLE LOCATION; WINSPORT. IT'S GAME-CHANGING FOR MOST FAMILIES, ESPECIALLY WITH MULTIPLE CHILDREN.
ABOUT PX3 AMP
The PX3 Accelerated Multisport Pathway was founded by former hockey player Brad Layzell.
The vision was to create one of the strongest and safest youth hockey and multisport development programs in the world for boys, girls and sledge hockey players aged 4 to 18 years old.
The program promotes evidence-based solutions for brain safety and injury prevention through education, training and advanced medical testing and assessments by leading medical and preventative health providers.
The player development is based on having highly experienced coaches teaching the kids a variety of different sports and proper athletic movements and develop a much greater set of skills for hockey, and life.
With our curriculum-based approach to long-term athletic development, along with smaller playing surfaces, smaller rosters, and a portion of each training session dedicated to playing small area games; we can significantly accelerate learning, safety, and build a deep love for the sport.
For children in their youngest and highest development stages, it's the chance to build an athletic foundation that will last them a lifetime.
