What are the top 3 accomplishments that you are most proud of?

1.) My Family

2.) Playing in the 1988 Olympics, 3.) Career in the NHL

What is your WHY? What lights your fire and makes you do what you are doing.

To see the improvement of the kids and the smile on their faces.

Legacy. What do you want to be remembered for?

That I made a difference in the kids both on and off the ice.

What are some of the biggest mistakes you see young athletes making, what are some that you made that looking back you would have done differently?

Don't take anything for granted. Always work hard even in the face of adversity.

What do you like most about the PX3 AMP Program? Why is this program so  important  for kids?

It is a safe learning environment where you feel free to be yourself and improve your skills at a faster pace while having fun.

What are some of the biggest obstacles you have had to overcome to get where you are? 

Discrimination...

Who is the person/coach who made the biggest difference in your life or believed in you when others did not?

My Dad, Dave King, and Tommy MCVie.

Who is the person, coach, or institution that told you to quit or did not believe in you. Why?

People in my hockey association told my dad that black people couldn't play hockey at a higher level because of their weak ankles and I should focus on educations as opposed to go play junior.
